Vision

Vision

Our vision is to be faithful to Jesus and to allow his Spirit to continually change us. We want to be good news to our local community and particularly stand alongside the most needy and vulnerable.

We know that we are not perfect and often get things wrong. God has not finished with us yet! However we know it is not about’ being good enough’, but rather being in an honest relationship with God to guide us as we journey.

To help us on that journey we are using the Healthy Churches Handbook. This brilliant resource offers seven characteristics of a healthy church:

  1. Energized by faith
  2. Outward-looking focus
  3. Seeks to find out what God wants
  4. Faces the cost of change and growth
  5. Operates as a community
  6. Makes room for all
  7. Does a few things and do them well

Our vision for 2015 is to prioritise our resources so we become ‘healthier’ and better equipped for God’s mission.
